The "new and unknown" Vista
operating system was the order of the day as Pamela Tabak
explained how Windows Vista was very different from the previous version of
Windows. Pamela showed many new features that were contained in the Ultimate
version of the Windows Vista operating system comparing them with Windows XP.
Pamela ran short
PowerPoint presentations showing Vista features that need to be learned in order
to run the new operating system with ease and showed many of the improvements
over previous versions of Windows.
Everyone
agreed that the Vista graphics are outstanding and Pamela stated that "it
certainly makes using the computer an artistic experience!"
The members asked interesting
questions pertaining to Vista as well as Windows XP and Pamela explained how to
make files and
folders, clean up the desktop, arrange the start menu, printing problems,
inserting a picture into an email, using the Internet and many more features
were covered in both operating systems.
Security was a large part of
the discussion and
Pamela explained that if the members ran
"Computer Maintenance" regularly most computer
"glitches" would be avoided.
